Frankfort Wedding Venue Can’t Operate After Village Injunction

FRANKFORT, IL — A temporary restraining order has been granted against a wedding venue in Frankfort. The Village of Frankfort filed the injunction against Southern Charm Venues, a “barn wedding” venue, in Will County Circuit Court. The injunction names business owners Terri and Jerry Warning, among several others, as defendants in the case.

The case has a status hearing on Tuesday, after first meeting in June.

According to court documents, the land owned by the Warnings at 23504 S. Harlem Ave., was annexed into the village in 2003. The documents state the property is zoned as AG-agricultural district, but Southern Charm “is doing business” at the property.

According to Southern Charm’s website, the business hosts weddings at the property on Harlem Avenue.

Asian Wedding Venue Owner slams Government Restrictions

The owner of a South Asian wedding venue in Bolton has revealed that the impact of Covid-19 has been huge.

Bolton Excellency is a grand wedding venue, with one hall able to fit 1,200 guests and others capable of seating hundreds.

However, due to current government restrictions, weddings are now limited to 15 people.

No weddings have been held at the venue since the initial lockdown in March 2020.

Nusrat Khan, who runs the venue alongside her husband, said:

“It has affected us massively but I think people don’t really understand that so many businesses are linked onto the venue – cars, florists, cakes, decorations.

“The financial impact is a loss of approximately £35 million for 2020 to the group of business we represent in the north alone.

“This is further compounded by the myth that we will have a bumper year in 2021.

“This is not the case as

Owners of micro-wedding venue claim their business has been ‘saved’ by new Covid-19 restrictions

Boris Johnson’s decision to slash the number of people allowed at weddings from 30 to 15 amid the Covid-19 pandemic was a devastating blow for thousands of couples and venues around Britain.

But for one family, the ruling gave their intimate wedding venue business the much-needed boost they had been hoping for.

Former NHS manager Joanna Szczepura and husband Matthew, a former IT manager for JP Morgan, bought Grade Two listed Brickhouse in sleepy Mamhead, Devon in 2015.

Hidden away in the hills with its own three-acre vineyard, the couple initially hoped to make a living selling their home-grown wine to local bars and restaurants.

However, Rodriguez said the venue recently informed her the center had closed down and she has been unsuccessful in getting her nearly $700 deposit back.

“I’ve been trying to do everything I can just at least get some answers like why, why did you do this?” she said.

Rodriguez said the venue has given her nothing but the runaround after they emailed her that the place had closed. However, they also said they’d be providing everyone a refund.

Still, she said she’s reached out multiple times and hasn’t heard anything from the venue in over a week.
