More soup this week because it’s fall. About this time of year we all start thinking about the holidays to come: Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not sure what any of those holidays will look like this year. Although I guess Halloween is canceled in College Hill. I breathed a big sigh of relief when I read that news from the neighborhood association. It feels like the responsible thing to do this year. So what will everyone do on Halloween night? Perhaps gather in very small groups? One friend suggested a candy hunt – similar to an Easter Egg hunt. That seemed like a fun idea.
This week’s recipe is a quick version of Italian Wedding soup. This recipe usually has meatballs in it, and sometimes a small pasta, too, which you could easily add. I found inspiration for this soup on Instagram. It was a list of ingredients, and I
Seth Rogen is celebrating his wedding anniversary in the sweetest way.
He and wife Lauren Miller each posted a rare throwback photo from their wedding day nine years ago to mark their anniversary on Friday, Oct. 2.
“Happy anniversary to us!! I can’t believe I’ve been lucky enough to find the perfect partner to go through life with,” Seth wrote. “After 9 years married and over 15 years together, I love @laurenmillerrogen more every day. Here’s me beating her at video games at our wedding.” The pic showed the couple with their eyes locked on the video game screens as guests cheered them on.
For her part, Lauren wrote, “Happy Anniversary to us! 9 years married/15 together, and celebrating all the GOOD stuff.” Plus she tagged wedding planner Alison Hotchkiss, who brought their special day to life.
Lauren celebrated Seth’s birthday this year in quarantine. “I love this person more

This will test their commitment, patience, multi-tasking and will to compromise, not to mention setting a decent budget and sticking to it. But one doesn’t have to look from afar.

Planning a wedding, even before the pandemic, came with a lot of responsibilities. For starters, you had to book a venue, fine-tune the guest list, and, of course, find the perfect wedding dress. Now, on top of those decisions — plus those ensuring the safest wedding day possible — another to-do has been added to every bride’s pre-wedding checklist: buying a wedding-appropriate face mask. The same goes for your wedding party and your guests.
At an event as heavily photographed as a wedding, whether you’re seated on the bride’s side of the aisle or you are the bride, you may want a style that’s a little more photo-worthy than a standard medical mask. But, while the face covering should be aesthetically pleasing and on par with your wedding-day look visually, it should still be effective against the spread of COVID-19. For brides-to-be planning seaside nuptials, beach wedding dresses can easily feel too fussy when you’re going for laid-back ease. However, saying ‘I do’ with your toes in the sand hardly means your wedding dress should feel anything less than extraordinary. Beach wedding dresses run the gamut from incredibly casual to supremely decorative—it’s all about finding one that suits your personality and style of beach wedding (which can also range from a private ceremony to a formal tented affair). As a starting point, lightweight silk, chiffon, or lace are ideal fabrics to look for.
If your goal is a beach wedding dress that’s as casual as your regular assortment of summer frocks, a midi length, high-low hem, or asymmetrical silhouette all come with an easy-going sensibility that’s still sophisticated. Whether done in cotton, crochet, or swingy chiffon, a shorter hemline feels innately relaxed and is something you can easily wear again
